Christopher Mccracken
MSN, CRNP, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I specialize in adolescent and young adult patients (ages 16 and older), and I treat adult patients of any age. My background includes 6 years of inpatient behavioral health experience, where I cared for patients with needs ranging from depression to schizophrenia. I have further training and experience in special education. The University of South Alabama granted me the Excellence in Practice Award for the distinguished delivery of quality patient care in 2023.
My goal is complete symptom remission rather than partial response. OCD is one of my main areas of focus. I commonly treat anxiety and depression as well, but I also encourage those with more severe concerns like mania or psychosis to seek treatment with me. I specialize in helping teens and young adults experiencing new-onset hallucinations, unusual thoughts, and mood swings.
Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes to allow time for brief psychotherapy in addition to medication management. I prefer not to conduct the stereotypical 10-minute "med check." Many of my patients have a therapist as well, and I welcome collaboration with them if desired.
Please note that I do not prescribe benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, or narcotics under any circumstance. This includes medications like Xanax, Klonopin, Ambien, and Oxycontin. While I do utilize psychostimulants like Adderall to treat ADHD, my policy is to prescribe only long-acting formulations to patients over 18.

Nikki Plummer
LCSW-C, Social Worker
We are all faced with challenges at different times in our lives. As a therapist, I want people to know that it is healthy to seek out help and that no one needs to face these challenges alone. My goal is to provide high quality individual psychotherapy in a safe and nurturing environment. I have a straightforward, practical and kind approach that is adaptable to each person’s needs. During the first visit we will explore why the individual has chosen to start therapy at this time and we can start to identify goals. We will discuss one’s personal background and current situation. We can explore if perhaps a person is experiencing a crisis, or needs emotional support, or is managing difficult relationships or other issues. From there, we will collaborate to determine the best course of action and treatment modality. We will work on vital coping skills, work to achieve a better understanding of oneself and increase resiliency.

Nickolaus King
LCSW-C, Social Worker
I have a wide range in my approach to treatment, but my foundation is deeply grounded in person-centered therapy. I want you to be comfortable being your authentic self, whoever that may be. Clients often gain more awareness and self-acceptance in our work together. A session might look like us exploring the past (but not getting stuck there), understanding what is going on in the present moment (identifying your needs), and how to move forward into the future (by creating meaningful and realistic goals). I have extensive experience working in community mental health and crisis intervention.
Due to the high volume of this work, I have been exposed to, trained in, and comfortable working with all mental health disorders and population groups. Currently, I see individuals 16 & up for individual therapy. I welcome in-person sessions but also recognize virtual appointments are more convenient for some. Book an appointment with me; I love inspiring people to take the next step.
